It was a warm summer evening in 2003. Jonathan was 19 and Ozzie was 20. They were both invited separately, by mutual friends, to a little "kickback". At first there was some hesitation as it was the middle of the week and they both didn't feel like going.
However, all it took was a little persuasion from their friends and a few hours later they were both on their way. It's there where they caught each other's eye. A month later, they were celebrating Ozzie's big 21st birthday together.
Texting was fairly new back then, but they mastered it. Planning the next movie date, dinner date, theme park outing, or road trip.
They were inseparable. And when the holidays rolled around, they knew this was more than just a summer fling.
They were in love.
These road tripping kids went on to become world traveling adults.
It wasn’t always easy though. Internal and external adversities can make or break people. Through it all, their resilience made their bond even stronger.
Their love was constant and unwavering. And some 20 years later, they’re finally getting married.
